Many years ago, back when I was 16 I totally removed all dairy and meat product’s from my diet. I went a vegan for around one year purely because I didn’t like the texture meat or the idea of eating any animal products, also because it was easier to prepare food.
Back then I did not have the knowledge on the nutrition of what foods or supplement’s I should use to replace the lack of essential vitamins I was not getting from my vegan diet, which was what I thought was just removing all meat and dairy products.
After a few months on this diet, it really showed in my health inside and out, I became scrawny, extremely flat-chested, my body was undernourished because of my diet was lacking important nutrients, my diet was so unhealthy, and it showed.
Since I have been living in Dubai, I have always been tempted to fast throughout Ramadan, primarily to understand what others experience when restricted from food for 14 plus hours.

Is this a bad dream, a nightmare, will I wake soon in a world I am used to?
